1. Data controller

Responsible for data processing on this website:

Mirko Pellny Im Reitwinkel 11 45661 Recklinghausen Germany Email: info@tearsofgod.net

2. Hosting

This website is hosted with Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, Vercel automatically processes technical information such as IP address, time of access, browser type, and pages accessed in server log files. This processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in the secure and functional operation of the website. This website is delivered from servers in the Frankfurt am Main region.

Under the plan we use, server log files are automatically deleted after one hour. We do not store this data beyond that period; in particular, no log data is exported, analysed, or combined with other data sources.

Vercel does not set any cookies of its own on this website. Details of Vercel's processing can be found in Vercel's privacy notice and Vercel's cookie policy. The cookie policy describes cookie practices on Vercel's own websites, not the processing that takes place on this website.

As Vercel Inc. is based in the United States, processing of personal data outside the EU/EEA cannot be excluded. According to Vercel, such transfers are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c), (5) GDPR) and on Vercel's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

3. Fonts

All fonts used on this website are self-hosted on our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service — no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose when you visit the site.

4. Cookies and analytics tools

This website uses no analytics, tracking, or marketing tools. Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights and comparable services are not integrated. No tracking pixels or advertising identifiers are loaded, and there are no third-party embeds (such as YouTube or Spotify players); all videos are self-hosted.

Exactly one technically necessary cookie is set:

NEXT_LOCALE — stores your chosen language version of the site (value de or en). It is a session cookie and is deleted when you close your browser. It contains no identifier, enables no cross-site recognition, and is not transmitted to third parties. It is stored in order to provide the language version you requested and is strictly necessary for that purpose (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG / Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive); no consent is required for it.

As this website uses no technologies that require consent, no cookie banner is displayed.

5. Local storage (arcade / minigames)

The "Arcade" section of this website offers small browser games. When you play one, your highest score is stored locally in your browser (Web Storage / localStorage, using keys prefixed tog:highscore:). That data stays on your own device: it is never transmitted to us or to any third party, we cannot see it, and no online leaderboard is created from it. Only the score and the time it was achieved are stored — no personal data, no name, no identifier — and no cookies are set for this purpose.

The sole purpose is to show you your own best score again on a later visit. It therefore takes place as part of a function you explicitly requested (Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG / Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). You can delete this data yourself at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser; the games keep working afterwards, the stored best score simply starts again from zero.

6. Contacting us

This website does not currently provide a contact form. If you contact us by email, the data you provide — including your email address, the content of your message, and the technical headers of the email — is processed solely to handle your inquiry and is not shared without your consent. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR); where your enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract, such as a booking request, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Our email inbox is operated using Google Workspace. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes incoming messages, and the other data handled through Google Workspace, as a processor acting on our instructions. This is governed by Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum (CDPA), which is incorporated into our agreement with Google as a processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. Details of Google's processing can be found in Google's privacy policy and in the Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

As Google may process personal data outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the United States, according to Google such transfers are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c), (5) GDPR) and on Google's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your message is deleted once it is no longer required to handle your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply. Where your enquiry leads to a booking or another contract, the commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to request information about the personal data we hold about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of its processing (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact us at the email address above for any of these requests.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.
